As things stand, Barcelona are still not close to triggering the release clause owing to their LaLiga FFP restrictions. However, the club is optimistic that they can get the deal over the line in the coming weeks.
Athletic Club, on the other hand, are quite confident that their number 11 will report for pre-season training and will continue at the club.
