The couple devised a bold plan to expose the corrupt chairman publicly. What appeared to be a promotional interview for Hyun-jun’s detective series transformed into a live television bombshell. Simultaneously, her newspaper published an investigative exposé, leading to Chairman Lee’s arrest. Discover more K-drama endings at [TechnoSports](https://technosports.co.in/).

## The Cost of Truth

Public attention shifted from the corruption case to Hyun-jun and Jung-sin’s relationship, devastating his career. Endorsement deals vanished, forcing him to sell his house and car to cover financial losses. To protect his professional recovery and keep focus on the case, Jung-sin accepted a reporting assignment in Syria.

Before departing, she took Hyun-jun on a heartfelt date, revealing her plans only at the end. He initially reacted with frustration but returned to apologize, accepting her decision despite the pain. Jung-sin timed her departure with his series finale, calling it their last meeting—a moment that left him emotionally shattered. ## Rebuilding and Reunion

While Jung-sin reported from Syria, Hyun-jun’s career rebounded after she published an article clarifying he’d severed ties with Chairman Lee. His endorsements returned, he landed a Hollywood project, and his latest *Good Detective Kang Pil-goo* season became the highest-rated yet. Meanwhile, his brother returned to medical school, and colleague Ju Jae-hyeong discovered Yun Hwa-yong’s son was his, leading to their marriage.

When Jung-sin was injured in Syria and lost communication, Hyun-jun spent agonizing weeks reviewing old photos. After recovering and retrieving her phone, she contacted him with news of her return. They reunited at N Seoul Tower—the location they’d originally planned to meet through the Onion app. Jung-sin ran into his arms, and they rekindled their romance, soon becoming engaged.

The series concluded with a screening of a film inspired by their real-life journey, where theater audiences recognized and photographed the famous couple, now publicly committed to each other.
