Gone are the days where the news was dominated by rumours of Neymar returning to Barcelona. The Brazilian is now set to extend his stay at the French club for a whopping 5 years since he is very happy at the club. The news was confirmed by renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano through his social media accounts, and considering the track record he possesses, it is as good as done.

The new deal is set to include a massive bonus if Paris Saint-Germain win the Champions League in the coming years, and the final details regarding the deal are set to be sorted out soon. The deal will be announced as soon as an agreement is reached between the two parties on the contract that the Brazilian winger will have for the next half of a decade.

Although the player missed the sentimental return to Camp Nou as PSG faced Barcelona in the Round of 16 in the Champions League, the French Champions still managed to get the best of Lionel Messi and co., thanks to unbelievable performances from Kylian Mbappe over the two-legged fixture.

The 29-year-old has been out with injury for a good portion of the season, which has seen him play only 19 games across all competitions so far this campaign. In them, he has scored 13 goals and assisted 6.

After agreeing on a new deal with Neymar, PSG’s Sporting Director Leonardo will be hoping to do the same with Kylian Mbappe, who is the most valuable player in the world at this point of time.
