Neymar offered to Barcelona in shocking return rumours from PSG

According to journalist Khaled Waleed, Paris Saint-Germain winger Neymar has offered himself to Barcelona for a return to Catalonia. The one big condition, however, is that the French club will have to pay most of his salary.

From a critical perspective, that seems unlikely to happen considering how much the player earns. Barcelona manager Xavi has denied that a return for the former Barca player is in their plans. And as a result, in spite of the rumour, it seems unlikely that such a move will go through at this time.

The 31-year-old has now spent six years with PSG since his move in 2017 for €222 million, which is still the most expensive transfer in football history. Although Neymar has been able to score 118 goals and provide 77 assists in 173 games for the French side, his ambition of winning the Champions League has been left unfulfilled so far.

However, Neymar has been able to lead the club to domestic silverware on multiple occasions, helping continue PSG’s dominance in Ligue 1. The Brazilian has been linked with an exit for weeks, with the hierarchy looking into a new model for the sporting project.

Chelsea, Manchester City, United and Saudi Arabia have been among the destinations rumoured for the winger. However, no one has been able to reach an agreement for the transfer of the skillful forward as of yet.
