Neymar has revealed his plans to return to Brazil soon, with 2025 being rumoured as a possible date. The winger has been sidelined with an ACL injury he sustained shortly after signing for Al Hilal from PSG.
And as a result, he has not been involved for the Saudi Arabian side in spite of signing for them for a big transfer fee. The footballer was recently seen at the Sao Paulo State Championship Final, where his boyhood club Santos beat Palmeiras 1-0 in the first leg. He bright out the Campeonato Paulista trophy, and later revealed his plans to return to his home country.
Neymar reveals plans to return to BrasileirĂ£o soon
According to reports, the 32-year-old has told players in the Santos dressing room that he will be returning to the club in 2025. His return to competitive football, however, will be at the start of the coming season.
Neymar’s contract with Al Hilal runs out next summer, meaning he will be free to sign for any club he wants to. And considering his massive injury history, it doesn’t seem like he will play at the top level much longer.
Santos were relegated from the Brazilian top flight at the end of last season, and will be expected to make a strong comeback this season. Regardless, the arrival of Neymar Jr will be a huge boost if he chooses to make the move next year.
