Chelsea have been linked with yet another ambitious transfer. This time, Neymar is the player that is attracting interest from the West London club for a switch in the summer.

The Brazilian reportedly wanted to leave PSG last summer itself, but no suitable offers came for him. Todd Boehly and PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi have now had a secret meeting in order to discuss a move for the winger in the summer. The failed transfer of Hakim Ziyech on deadline day was also discussed in the meeting between the two.

In the last few days, Boehly has met directly with Neymar’s representatives to discuss the possibility of him joining the Blues. But with his PSG contract expiring in 2027, it could prove to be a difficult operation to carry out.

Given that Neymar is 31 years old, there will be little to no resale value for the player in the future. As a result, a big money move for him might not be the best option for Boehly.

Chelsea are anticipating a summer clearout which will see the likes of Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech leave the club in the summer. With the club desperate to find someone who can score goals, Neymar might be the solution they need.

And if the rumours suggesting that he indeed wants to leave PSG are true, it might be a good opportunity for the Premier League club to take a chance at.
