Newcastle United takeover is expected to happen at the end of the season even if they get relegated to the Championship next season.

Newcastle United is now 17th in the table and just 3 points away from the relegation zone. There are several injury issues as well in the team. The attacking trio of Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Miguel Almiron is currently out for injury and not coming back until after this month’s international break. It will be very tough for the Magpies to retain their position in the Premier League in this situation.

The @Gazzetta_it story is correct. PIF have explored a minority stake in #InterMilan. Told Yasir Al Rumayyan involved in talks. Up to 30% investment discussed which, based on Suning's highest valuation would be €300m (260m). Nothing agreed but may give Suning an out not to sell.

According to a report by the Independent, all parties in the consortium would still be interested in taking over Newcastle United even if the team is relegated to the Championship at the end of the season. Though Justin Barnes – the advisor of Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has put takeover conversations on hold and stated that the club is not for sale anytime soon.

However, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, the Reuben brothers, and Amanda Staveley are eager to buy Newcastle United, and not even a drop to the Championship will deter them.

There can be a chance of renegotiation as well. Ashley hopes that Bruce can make Newcastle stay in the Premier League so that the price touches £300 million.

In this circumstance, PIF is also looking elsewhere, with Saudi Arabia’s Prince Mohammad bin Salman interested in acquiring a minority stake in Inter Milan. Some Newcastle United fans are in fear that the Saudis’ interest in Inter could end their interest in the St. James’ Park outfit. They want the deal to go through as soon as possible.
