The 25-year-old Ivorian central midfielder Frank Kessie joined the Spanish La Liga club Barcelona this summer. He joined the Spanish club as a free agent after ending his contract with the Italian Serie A club AC Milan.

Kessie played all three games in the ongoing pre-season friendlies. After starting the match against the Spanish team Olot, he appeared against Inter Miami and Real Madrid in the ongoing US tour. Though he hadn’t recorded a goal or assist in these pre-season friendlies, he impressed with outstanding performances in every game. After observing his performance against the arch-rivals Real Madrid, the Catalan club is hugely satisfied with the Ivorian.

4. Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

The Norwegian Erling Haaland, who just celebrated his 22nd birthday, was one of the key names in the ongoing summer transfer market. English Premier League club Manchester City signed the young goal-machine for reportedly around €60 million from the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

In the pre-season friendlies, Haaland first time appeared for the Sky Blues on 23rd July when they faced the German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich at Green Bay, United States. The game was shortened to 40 minutes per half due to multiple lightning delays, where Haaland scored the only goal of the match in the early 12th minutes.

3. Darwin Nunez (Liverpool)

Nunez has already travelled with the Reds on the Thailand, Singapore and Germany tours. He played all their three matches in their pre-season friendlies, where Liverpool faced Manchester United, Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig. He started to impress from the early matches and managed to score for the Premier League club against RB Leipzig. While Liverpool beat the hosts Leipzig by 5-0, Nunez scored four goals, including one penalty.
