One moment they’re celebrating freedom, the next they’re staring down a crisis. That’s the whiplash “New Recruit 4: Sabotage” is teasing ahead of its sixth episode, and new stills suggest this could be one of the season’s most dramatic turns yet.

## What Is “New Recruit” About?

Based on a hit animated series, “New Recruit” is a [black comedy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_comedy) that unpacks the culture, quirks, and absurdities of South Korea’s mandatory military service through the eyes of young recruits. Season 4 follows Park Min Seok (Kim Min Ho), now promoted to corporal, as a new recruit and battalion commander shake up his already chaotic routine.

## Platoon 3’s Big Day Out

New photos show Platoon 3 — led by Jeon Se Gye (Kim Dong Jun) alongside Kang Chan Seok (Lee Jung Hyun), Choi Byung Nam (Kim Hee Soo), and Kim Dong Woo (Jang Sung Bum) — finally earning their first group leave after weeks of hardship. ## A Shocking Turn for Company 2

While Platoon 3 enjoys their outing, Company 2 tells a very different story. Moon Bit Nari (Kim Yo Han) and Jeon Se Gye appear visibly tense, and Park Min Seok is shown standing with a resolute expression, seemingly ready to act on a major decision — until Ji Jung Min (Noh Sung Eun) grabs his arm to stop him. The production team has confirmed a shocking incident will rattle Company 2 in this episode, alongside brewing tension between Byun Hyuk Jin (Lee Hyun Gyun) and Jo Baek Ho (Oh Dae Hwan).
