Mahindra’s latest Scorpio N has already launched in the Indian market while the revamped Scorpio Classic has also made its way and is being well received by the customers. The brand has already become the best-selling SUV brand in India and its SUVs have very long waiting periods which they are trying to reduce with days.
On top of this, Mahindra, who has the two best Mid Size SUVs in the form of the Mahindra Scorpio and XUV700 in the market, is seeing huge demand for SUVs off late from Indians. While COVID-19 took a big hit in the Indian car market in 2022 things have changed a lot and these two new SUVs have performaned very well among the new age Indians.
Mahindra Scorpio N/Classic dominates the Indian market
In today’s days people are preferring SUVs more because of its space and ground clearance, so, the new Scorpio N and Classic, which have already been very popular has been well received by the customers who are ready to wait for months to get their new Mahindra car. As you see the Mid Size SUV sales of October 2022 alone you will see Mahindra almost single handely dominated the sales.
The Scorpio models have accounted for as much as 7,438 sales, showing a staggering growth of 125% YoY and single-handedly getting as much as 31.57% market share. On the other hand, XUV700 has also got 5,815 units sold, which again is a big bump in sale numbers, thanks to Mahindra’s efforts to increase its manufacturing numbers.
You will be quite surprised to see both of these Mahindra cars alone account for 56% market share of the rising Mid Size SUV market. Tata Motors’ Harrier and Safari get lesser sale figures compared to 2021, so, Mahindra keeps dominating while Hyundai’s new Alcazar is also getting heavy interest by buyers.
However, this sales figure goes to show the insane popularity of Mahindra and its new-age SUVs which come with advanced features like ADAS that has helped them dominate the SUV market for years now. Also, its notable to say that Mahindra’s Scorpio brand image is again revived with the new 2022 models and people cannot stop shower love towards the car even today.
