The 2023 MacBook Pro and 24-inch iMac, which are both powered by the M3 series CPUs that Apple also unveiled, made their premiere on October 31. The M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max make up the M3 line. The MacBook Pro M3, which starts at Rs 169,900, is available in a variety of configurations with up to 128GB of unified memory in 14- and 16-inch display options.
New M3 chips details and its features
In addition to an enhanced 12-core CPU with six performance and six efficiency cores, the M3 Pro also has an 18-core GPU that outperforms the M1 Pro by up to 40%.
Again avoiding a direct M2 comparison, Apple claims that the CPU performance is up to 30% quicker than the M1 Pro for single-threaded tasks. Unified memory up to 36GB is supported by the M3 Pro.Compared to the M1 Max, the M3 Max is claimed to have a 40-core GPU that is up to 50% quicker. It also features a 16-core GPU with 12 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores.
Maximum unified memory capacity for the M3 Max is 128GB. As stated by Apple, the M3 Max’s GPU outperforms the M1 Max by up to 80 percent. Considering that Apple earlier this year said the M2 Max was up to 30% faster in terms of graphics than the M1 Max, it sounds like a significant boost.
