On September 8, Apple revealed the new Apple Watch Ultra, a bigger, more sophisticated smartwatch geared toward adventurers, swimmers, and sports. The new Apple Watch Series 8 and the Apple Watch Ultra both have the same features, but there is much more to the watch than meets the eye. Here are only a few of the more salient variations that need mentioning.

Harsh Operational Temperatures:

The siren can be audible up to 600 feet or 180 meters away. The first pattern indicates trouble, while the second imitates the widely recognized SOS signal.
Superior GPS positioning:
A precise dual-frequency GPS used by Apple Watch Ultra incorporates both L1 and the most recent frequency, L5. Trail runners and other sports who frequently find themselves in close proximity to tall structures or densely forested areas should benefit from having the most accurate GPS of any smartwatch available, according to Apple.
Enhanced Compass App:
The Compass now offers three views in watchOS 9 and has been revamped for the Apple Watch Ultra. Turning the Digital Crown provides an extra view that includes latitude, longitude, elevation, and incline, as well as an orienteering view showing Compass Waypoints and Backtrack. The app displays a novel hybrid view that concurrently shows both an analog compass dial and a digital view.

The depth gauges on the Apple Watch Ultra have been approved to EN 13319, a widely accepted standard for dive gear. The new Depth app for the Apple Watch Ultra even features a depth gauge that can show the time, the user’s current depth down to 40 meters, the water temperature, the amount of time spent underwater, and the maximum depth attained.
When submerged, the Apple Watch Ultra automatically launches the Depth app, making it quick and simple to access important data without having to actively launch it. As an alternative, you can link the Depth app to the Action button so that it can be opened whenever necessary.
Pricing and Availability
After the “Far out” event on Sept 8, pre-orders for the $799 Apple Watch Ultra were opened. It comes with three different bands: Trail, Alpine, and Ocean, and has a silver titanium case. Customers will start receiving their Apple Watch Ultra on Friday, September 23.
