Today marks the first day of availability for the new AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors, and we are getting a lot of leaks as well. We have got the first big leak of the new AMD flagship Ryzen 9 5950X, which is a 16 core, 32 threads processor.
The prolific tipster @TUM_APISAK has shared the Cinebench R15 multi-core score of this new flagship CPU from AMD. Obviously, it is aimed at high-end workloads, and how does this compete against its predecessor Ryzen 9 3950X? Let’s find out:
As we see, the Ryzen 9 5950X scores a whopping 5016 points in Cinebench R15, and it is way higher than we could have thought of. If we compare this with last year’s Ryzen 9 3950X, the last-gen flagship CPU scored only 3982 points as per Anandtech’s benchmark database.
This proves the new 16 core flagship to be as much as 25% faster in Cinebench R15 multi-core tests. As we know already that the Ryzen 9 5950X scores the highest single-core score, it has significantly improved in the multi-core performance as well, thanks to the new & revolutionary Zen 3 architecture.
