From today, November 5, the new Ryzen 5000 series processors are on shelves and ready to be used in your gaming rigs. However, if you are really confused of which CPU to buy, don’t worry all of them are honestly master at their price points.

As we see the average single-core score from the Geekbench 5 database, with courtesy of @TUM_APISAK, as promised by AMD, the new Ryzen 5000 series processors are the fastest in single-core scores. This clearly means, AMD will now have clear edge over Intel’s entire 10th Gen lineup in terms of gaming as well as productivity.

The chart as you see comprises of the four new AMD CPUs which sit right at the top of it and the only Intel competitor with 1425 points is the new Tiger Lake based flagship Core i7-1165G7. Whereas the flagship desktop CPU scores just 1411 points, on the other hand, the base $299 priced Ryzen 5 5600X is far ahead of Intel flagship that costs more than double.

The interesting thing to notice is that the Ryzen 7 5800X with 8 cores and 16 threads seem to be a better value if you aren’t looking for more cores. As we see it topping the chart with 1634 points followed by the Ryzen 9 5950X with 1631 points whereas the Ryzen 9 5900X gets 1620 points.

This proves that for gaming all of these new Ryzen 5000 series processors are equally good like its multi-threaded performance. Also, Intel’s bragging about their gaming performance is now demolished and paired with the latest Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs you can game at the highest quality without any hiccups at your sweet budget.
