New Amazon EC2 C6a Instances will be powered by 3rd Gen AMD EPYC Processors 

From Google to Microsoft, from Meta to now Amazon, everyone is now widely using AMD’s 3rd Gen Milan processors on their data centres and servers. So, Amazon has recently announced that their new & powerful AWS EC2 C6a Instances as a successor to its previously launched Amazon EC2 M6a instances.

As the demand for cloud-optimized servers have shot up since 2021, taking advantage of the compute choice that Amazon EC2 offers, it has launched new compute-optimized Amazon EC2 C6a instances. This offer up to up to 15 percent improvement in price-performance versus C5a instances, and 10 percent lower cost than comparable x86-based EC2 instances.

As Amazon cites, customers can now easily run compute-intensive workloads on its new EC2 C6a Instances such as batch processing, distributed analytics, ad serving, highly scalable multiplayer gaming, and video encoding.
