What if a **toaster** caused absolute chaos in someone’s life? That’s exactly the kind of brilliantly unhinged premise Netflix India is bringing to your screens this April — and with a stellar cast attached, this one’s already on everyone’s watchlist.

## What’s the Story About?

The premise is delightfully absurd — imagine a wedding gift exchange, a called-off wedding, and one stubborn man who simply **refuses to forget his toaster**. What starts as a petty obsession snowballs into a chain of increasingly ridiculous events that spiral completely out of control.

It’s the kind of inventive, laugh-out-loud storytelling that [dark comedy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_comedy) as a genre does best — blending real human frustration with over-the-top absurdity.

## Star-Studded Cast That Seals the Deal

The film features **Sanya Malhotra**, **Abhishek Banerjee**, **Archana Puran Singh**, **Farah Khan**, **Seema Pahwa**, **Jitendra Joshi**, and **Upendra Limaye** — a powerhouse ensemble that guarantees comic gold.

## A Special Milestone for Rajkummar & Patralekhaa

*Toaster* is also personally significant — it marks the **production debut** of actor couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa under their newly launched banner, **Kampa Film**. Patralekhaa shared that the moment they read the script, they knew it was a story worth telling.

Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India, praised the project for its fresh creative energy and the platform’s commitment to championing debut directors.
