“The Way Home” fans, brace yourselves! Season 5 isn’t happening, and Netflix isn’t the hero you’re looking for. Hallmark, not Netflix, cancelled the beloved time-travel drama, having planned its end long ago. Netflix is merely a licensee, unable and unwilling to fund new episodes for a show it doesn’t own. Despite fan petitions, a revival is highly unlikely, especially from Netflix. Hallmark aims to bolster its own streamer, making a competitor rescue improbable.
