# Netflix Renewals 2026-27: Which Returning Shows to Watch First URL: https://technosports.co.in/netflix-renewals-2026-27-returning-shows-to-watch-first/ Published: 2026-10-03 Updated: 2026-10-03 Author: Reetam Bodhak Nothing stings like finishing a season and wondering whether you’ll ever see those characters again. Netflix has a long record of cancelling shows early, so a renewal is good news. The streamer’s slate of returning series is huge, and **Wednesday**, **The Witcher** and **Bridgerton** are only the start. This guide pulls out the ones worth planning your weekends around. The details come from the October 2026 update of the What’s on Netflix renewal tracker, which covers renewals confirmed as of June 2026. ### Why renewals matter to viewers? [Netflix](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netflix) has reshaped how TV gets made and released. Its renewal decisions often depend on completion rates and how many people finish a season, not just how many start it. A renewal usually means the audience stuck around. It also helps you plan. Knowing when a show returns lets you rewatch earlier seasons at a comfortable pace, so you aren’t cramming the night before a premiere. German period drama *The Empress* also returns for its final season. **December** belongs to *Emily in Paris*. Season 6 is confirmed, so expect the usual scenery, outfits and questionable romantic decisions. **Fall 2026** also brings French heist hit *Lupin* back for Season 4. ### The 2027 blockbusters Most of the big names are saved for next year. Here’s what to expect. #### Wednesday Season 3 Production has wrapped and a 2027 return is confirmed. It remains one of Netflix’s most-watched English-language series, so expect heavy marketing when a date drops. #### The Witcher Season 5 Filming is complete, but Netflix has pushed the release into 2027. It’s the final stretch for the fantasy saga, so fans should prepare for a payoff-heavy finale. #### One Piece Season 3 The live-action adaptation has its third season confirmed for 2027. It’s a good time to catch up, because the story keeps growing. ![Netflix](https://technosports.co.in/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/etff-3-1024x468.webp) #### Bridgerton, Ginny & Georgia and Avatar All three are confirmed. *Bridgerton* has Seasons 5 and 6 on the way, with Season 5 already in production. *Ginny & Georgia* Season 4 is set for 2027. *Avatar: The Last Airbender* Season 3 is also confirmed for 2027. #### Black Mirror Season 8 Charlie Brooker’s anthology is in production for 2027. Each episode is standalone, so it’s the easiest show here to jump into. ### Final seasons to watch for Not every renewal means a long future. Several returning shows have been ordered as their last run. These include *The Lincoln Lawyer* (Season 5), *Devil May Cry* (Season 3), *The Empress* (Season 3) and *Mismatched* (Season 4). Final-season orders give writers time to plan a proper ending, which is rarer than it should be. ### International shows worth adding to your list Netflix’s non-English catalogue is full of returning favourites. Because subtitles and dubs are so good now, there’s little reason to skip them. - **India:** *Delhi Crime* (Season 4), *Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar* (Season 2), *Guns & Gulaabs* (Season 2) and *She* (Season 3) - **South Korea:** *All of Us Are Dead* (Season 2, expected 2027), *Single’s Inferno* (Season 6), *Culinary Class Wars* (Season 3) and *The Devil’s Plan* (Season 3) - **Japan:** *Sakamoto Days*, *Ranma 1/2* and *Delicious in Dungeon*, all with Season 2 confirmed - **Spain and Europe:** *Money Heist* is getting a world expansion, and *Lupin* (France) is back for Season 4 If you’re new to subtitled shows, start with something fast-paced like *Lupin*. It’s a gentle way in. For more on the K-drama side, browse our [OTT and streaming section](https://technosports.co.in). ### How to plan your rewatch? A few habits make the wait easier: 1. **Rewatch the previous season** two to three weeks before the premiere, which is enough time for the details to come back. 2. **Add the show to “My List”** so Netflix surfaces release reminders. 3. **Follow trusted trackers and news hubs** for date changes. Our [latest streaming updates](https://technosports.co.in) are a good place to start. 4. **Don’t trust “2027” too literally.** A show listed as “expected” can slip by months. ### Conclusion Netflix’s renewal list shows a platform leaning on proven hits while still making room for global stories. The next three months give you plenty to watch, with *The Diplomat*, *Black Doves* and *Emily in Paris* all returning. Then 2027 brings the heavyweights: *Wednesday*, *The Witcher*, *One Piece* and *Bridgerton*. Bookmark this page, because renewals and release dates change often. ### FAQs ### **Q1.
