Netflix has become a topic of concern for users due to the increasing price of the OTT platform. In North America, the price has raised just a year ago, and Netflix becomes very cheap within 30 minutes. It seems like a contradiction for the first time the company has appeared to be experimenting along with the right balance of global revenue as the taste of the subscriber has been changed in post lockdowns.
The company has just reduced their prices by as much as half in parts of the Middle East (Yemen, Jordan, Libya, and Iran, Sub-Saharan Africa (Kemya), Europe ( Croatia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria), Latin America (Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Venezuela), and Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines). This is another fact that the periodic price has been increased with a regular occurrence for Netflix, but it exposed a cheaper ad-supported plan in 12 countries last October.
The price of subscription has been cut come with other several streaming services with Disney+, Hulu, and Sling TV. The streaming service has risen recently. John Hodulik, the media and entertainment analyst said, “ It definitely goes against the recent trends not just for Netflix, but for the broader streaming Industry,”
In this January earning call, the co-CEO Greg Peters said that the company desires to get areas where it can increase prices and help to fund new content investments. Recently, Peters said, “ We think of ourselves as a non-substitutable good,” the regional price has been increased that allows Netflix to add subscribers to global markets where this has been shared might be higher. The fact that rival services include Disney+, HBO Max, and Paramount+.
Netflix has still been moving on a new monthly growth for the people who have shared their login credentials just outside their homes. After the trial of the program in Latin America, the company just rolled out be paid account for sharing in Canada, New Zealand, and Spain. For this, the latest costs fee is $8 in Canada, and in New Zealand, 4 euros in Portugal, and 6 euros in Spain. We are expecting it will soon launch in the US next year.
