The dream is dead. Netflix has officially scrapped David Fincher’s rumored *Squid Game* spin-off, codenamed *Heckler*. Despite massive fan hype, the project failed to materialize as the streamer pivots toward localized content over big-budget franchise expansions. Fincher remains locked in on his upcoming Cliff Booth film instead. Don’t expect a Western gameshow; the studio is officially moving in a different direction.
