A massive flash flood hit Nepal’s Gorkha district, destroying houses, three bridges, and a hydropower project camp. Triggered by a suspected landslide blocking the Syar Khola, the surge forced residents and tourists to flee. Emergency teams are currently conducting rescue operations. Authorities have issued urgent warnings for downstream communities to stay alert. For emergency assistance in Nepal, please contact the hotline at 1234.
