A catastrophic flash flood has decimated Nepal’s Rasuwa district. The Bhote Koshi River surged, sweeping away bridges and settlements near the Tibet border. Over 380 people remain missing, including 105 Indian pilgrims caught on the Kailash Mansarovar route. Critical hydropower infrastructure is destroyed, and rescue teams are battling extreme terrain. Climate-driven glacial instability is blamed for this devastating, recurring Himalayan disaster.
