## What Is Nemesis About?

Created by *Power* mastermind Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole, *Nemesis* follows the explosive, deeply personal rivalry between hotheaded LAPD Detective Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Law) and calculating master-thief Coltrane Wilder (Y’lan Noel) across the streets of Los Angeles. Think *Heat* energy stretched across a full season — with personal betrayals, cartel entanglements, and a finale that genuinely doesn’t let anyone walk away clean. ## The Creator Already Has a Season 2 Blueprint

This is the detail that changes everything. Courtney A. Kemp revealed in an Instagram Live broadcast that there is already a “season 2 blueprint” in place. She told *The Hollywood Reporter* that she actively fought against giving the first season a definitive ending: “Netflix asked us to wrap it in a place where you wouldn’t need a second season, and I was like, ‘Bet, we’re not doing that.’ We knew that we did not want Coltrane to get caught. We didn’t want it to feel like you did all this for nothing.” [Netflix Tudum](https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/my-royal-nemesis-release-date-news)

## What to Expect in Season 2?

*Spoiler territory ahead.* By the finale, both Isaiah and Coltrane have lost almost everything — and the story threads left dangling are rich with potential.

**Coltrane’s hunt for Ebony:** Wilder may have escaped but is separated from his pregnant wife Ebony, who was broken out of hospital by his sister-in-law Charlie using fake nurses while Wilder acted as a decoy. Kemp teased: “Coltrane’s gonna have to go find his wife.” [Netflix Tudum](https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/my-royal-nemesis-release-date-news)

**Stiles faces consequences:** Stiles has been stripped of his badge and service weapon, his marriage is completely fractured — with Candace having fled to ADA Malik Jacobs — and he called in a cartel favour to kill Wilder, crossing a major moral line and making an enemy of the Alvarez cartel in the process. **Noah’s dark path:** After being locked in a closet by his grandfather and watching him get murdered by Wilder, then taking a cartel bullet himself, Noah is fundamentally changed. Kemp noted: “He might not turn out so great. But whose fault is that?” [Netflix Tudum](https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/my-royal-nemesis-release-date-news)

## Expected Season 2 Cast

Should Netflix greenlight Season 2, the core cast expected to return includes Matthew Law as Isaiah Stiles, Y’lan Noel as Coltrane Wilder, Gabrielle Dennis as Candace Stiles, Cleopatra Coleman as Ebony Wilder, Cedric Joe as Noah Stiles, Sophina Brown as Charlie, Michael Potts as Sealey, and Jeff Pierre as Malik Jacobs.
