NBA history now belongs to [LeBron James](https://technosports.co.in/lebron-james-becomes-nba-all-time-top-scorer/) because he surpassed [Kareem Abdul-Jabbar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kareem_Abdul-Jabbar)‘s historic individual points record. At 38 years old LeBron James accomplished the 38,387 all-time points mark that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar held to finally claim first place. And a place at the first position of the NBA all-time leading scorer table.

The sport has welcomed a new milestone after LeBron James surpassed the record that held since 1974. During a crucial Thunder game against Oklahoma City he hit his 38,388th NBA point thus earning his position as the league’s top points scorer.
