NBA 2K21 gets a release date for the next-gen consoles. 2K Sports, the publisher of the game, has confirmed that the next-gen edition will begin its rollout on November 10 as a launch title for the Xbox Series X|S consoles.
As for Play Station 5, NBA 2K21 will arrive as a launch title on November 12 in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea, and for the rest of the world, it will arrive on November 19.
“Built from the ground up,” NBA 2K21 is a new edition built from scratch for the next-gen consoles. So, there is no cross-gen multiplayer support and, it will cost $10 more on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

 Developed by Visual Concepts, It is a basketball simulation video game with two modes- Single-player video game and Multiplayer video game. The game is based on the National Basketball Association (NBA) and is the 22nd installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K20.Â
The game got released on September 4, 2020, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and Windows. Except for Stadia, the game got mixed or average reviews, with critics criticizing the lack of originality in the gameplay, as well as bugs and microtransactions. Despite the criticism, the simulation, visuals, and production values got praised.
If you have purchased NBA 2K21 on Xbox One or Play Station 4, then you will be able to play it on their respective next-gen consoles, as both Xbox Series X and Play Station 5 supports backward compatibility.
