France 0-1 Croatia
The runners-up of the 2018 World Cup finally extracted their revenge on France, winning 1-0 in front of their home crowd. Luka Modric scored from the penalty spot early in the game to give his side the advantage. Ibrahima Konate conceded a light foul, but the decision stood even after VAR intervention. Mike Maignan dived the right way, but the Real Madrid man struck the ball with enough power to force it through the goal line.
France kept on the pressure with their crazy attacking line-up throughout the game, but some resolute defending from Croatia denied them an equaliser. The defending Nations League winners are now at the bottom of their group, and winless from four games.
