The series is not only attracting seasoned players but also welcoming a surge in newcomers who are proving their mettle by reaching the final tables in multiple tournaments.
“The first week of the National Poker Series India 2024 has exceeded our expectations. We’re thrilled to see the trajectory of the growing Indian Poker community,” expressed Navkiran Singh, Founder and CEO of Baazi Games. “The participation we’ve seen from areas beyond metros highlights poker’s growing popularity across the country. We eagerly anticipate the performances that will unfold in the next 14 days of the National Poker Series India 2024.”
A unique feature of this year’s series is the inclusion of participants from the NPS Camp, an industry-first event designed to train Indian Poker players. Two participants, Divya Raushan and Varun Vohra, showcased strategic gameplay, securing a Gold and Silver medal respectively. The camp emphasizes the importance of holistic well-being for poker success, incorporating techniques like breath control and ice baths alongside rigorous poker training.
Hosted on PokerBaazi, India’s premier poker platform, the National Poker Series India 2024 runs from March 3rd to March 24th. This 21-day festival offers both amateur and professional poker players the chance to compete for honors, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity within the Indian poker community. The top three performers, determined by their medal tally, will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the Poker Mecca, Las Vegas.
National Poker Series India is the country’s only national, poker-first, celebratory championship. Since its debut in 2021, it has received over 300,000 entries and awarded more than 770 medals across 250+ tournaments.
