Tanguy Ndombele has officially left Tottenham Hotspur and joined Napoli on loan for the coming season. The Premier League club will receive €1 million as the loan fee for the midfielder.
A buy option worth €30 million has been included in the deal as well, which will be active at the end of the loan spell. The midfielder spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at his former club, Lyon. And he has been offloaded for a second time since Antonio Conte doesn’t see him as a part of his project.
Napoli sign Tanguy Ndombele on loan with a buy option
The midfielder had joined Tottenham for €60 million in 2019, which was a club record at the time. But, despite some short bursts of his quality, he has not been able to nail down a spot in the starting line-up.
As a result, he is being offloaded for another spell, with Tottenham hopeful of recuperating half the amount spent on him. But it remains to be seen how his time in Italy goes and whether Napoli decide to sign Tanguy Ndombele permanently since they are under no obligation.
Giovanni Lo Celso has already left to join Villarreal, while Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks remain in the list of players that need to be offloaded as they are not part of the squad for the coming season.
