Serie A side Napoli has signed Nigerian international Victor Osimhen from Lille. Osimhen had an exciting last season. He scored 18 goals and provided 6 assists in 38 appearances for Lille in the 2019-20 season.

Osimhen first broke onto the scene during the under-17 World Cup in 2015. He was the tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals.

Napoli has now signed the 21-year-old for a reported fee of around €50m. Osimhen has signed a five-year deal with the Italian club.

Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis also tweeted welcoming Osimhen to Napoli.

Napoli has already started building a new project under their current manager Gennaro Gattuso. They currently sit 7th in the Serie A table with one game remaining. They haven’t been able to perform as per expectations. So they have turned their attention towards the next season. Osimhen would add a great value to the Napoli squad for the 2020-21 season.
