Napoli are now working to find replacements for Kalidou Koulibaly, with the Senegalese set to join Chelsea. Although it will be very difficult for the Azzurri to find a player that can inherit a player that can replicate his presence on the pitch, they have started looking for new players already.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Abdou Diallo is one of the names on the list for the club. The two sides are expected to negotiate a €20-25 million fee for the player, while salary remains an issue yet to be sorted out. The coming days will be vital in sorting out the details for the transfer before the deal is agreed.

Napoli looking at several options as Koulibaly replacement

Alongside Abdou Diallo, Fenerbahce centre-back Kim Min Jae is also one of the names on the list. Rennes have agreed personal terms with the South Korean as of now, and are in talks with the Turkish club over a transfer fee as well.

The quoted amount is in the region of €19.5 million, and Napoli will have to move fast if they are to hijack the deal for the player.

Diallo has been left out of PSG’s pre-season tour, and looks like the more likely option for Napoli. The 26-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by the looks of things. And once personal terms are agreed, it is likely that PSG won’t object to letting him go.
