The 34-year-old has completed the medical tests for the transfer, and will soon put pen to paper on the documents, completing the formalities needed to seal the transfer.
Nacho came through Real Madrid’s academy, and the centre-back has made 364 appearances for the senior team, primarily as a consistent squad player. But after the departure of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, he truly stepped up and led from the front, building on his years of experience.
The Spaniard is currently representing his country at Euro 2024, and his move will likely be announced after the tournament is over.
