## Who Plays Who? Full Cast Breakdown

**Lim Ji Yeon** plays Shin Seo Ri, an actress yet to make her mark, who gets possessed by Joseon-era villainess **Kang Dan Shim** — and at the script reading, she perfectly captured the character’s razor-sharp nature as Kang Dan Shim navigates survival in the modern world.

**Heo Nam Jun** portrays Cha Se Gye, heir to the powerful Chail Group, who — in a delightful twist — is easily controlled by Shin Seo Ri, already showing electric chemistry with Lim Ji Yeon at the table read.

**Jang Seung Jo** plays Cha Se Gye’s distant cousin Choi Moon Do, carefully depicting a dual nature — a gentle exterior hiding deep ambition — while **Kim Min Seok**, **Lee Se Hee**, and **Chae Seo An** round out the ensemble, with a special appearance from veteran actress **Kim Hae Sook**. ## Why This Drama Could Be a Massive Hit

The blend of [Joseon dynasty](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseon) history with modern-day chaos is a wildly fun concept that Korean drama has rarely explored quite this way. Add in a power-reversing romance where the “monster of capitalism” is wrapped around a possessed actress’s finger, and you have a recipe for pure binge-worthy television.

The production team noted that the cast showcased chemistry so perfect, it was hard to believe it was their very first meeting. [soompi](https://www.soompi.com/article/1830364wpp/watch-lim-ji-yeon-heo-nam-jun-and-more-impress-at-script-reading-for-my-royal-nemesis) If the script reading looks *this* good, imagine the actual drama.
