### **10 Titles, 2 Legends, 1 Unmatched Legacy**

Before the 2025 season, **17 IPLs** had been played. In those, Dhoni and Rohit together lifted the trophy **10 times**. Let that sink in.

Whether it’s **MS Dhoni’s ice-cool presence and street-smart captaincy**, or **Rohit Sharma’s elegant strokeplay and sharp leadership**, these two have changed the way T20 cricket is played, led, and celebrated.

From **CSK’s consistency under Thala** to **MI’s golden run under the Hitman**, their captaincy stories are filled with drama, comebacks, and moments that shaped Indian cricket history.

### **Dhoni – Still the Master Behind the Stumps**

MS Dhoni may no longer be the destructive finisher he once was, but his influence is still larger than life. **With a strike-rate of 220.55 in IPL 2024**, he showed flashes of brilliance that only a few can match.

As **Ruturaj Gaikwad sits out with an elbow injury**, Dhoni steps in again to lead CSK in 2025. The franchise has made it clear – **Dhoni can play as long as he wants**, and honestly, who’s complaining?

His **lightning-quick stumpings, calm field settings, and subtle tactical tweaks** make him an on-field general no team would want to play against.

### **Rohit – The Impact Player Who Still Delivers**

**Rohit Sharma** is not just a captain or an opener; he’s a moment-maker. Even as an **Impact Player** for MI this season, he carries the aura of a match-winner.

In 2024, he smashed **417 runs at a strike-rate of 150**, proving yet again that class doesn’t fade — it evolves.

People questioned his form, doubted his intent. But remember what he did in the **2024 T20 World Cup against Australia**? Or the **Champions Trophy final against New Zealand**? Rohit lives for the big moments, and **IPL 2025 still needs his calm chaos.**

### **Why They Are Still Indispensable**

Both CSK and MI may be struggling this season, but their heartbeat still beats in the form of their former captains. Leadership, inspiration, experience — qualities that don’t show up on the scorecard but win matches.

Youngsters like **Priyansh Arya** and **Digvesh Rathi** have been brilliant this year, but even they admit to being inspired by Dhoni and Rohit. It’s about **passing the torch**, not **extinguishing the flame**.

### **Cricket Needs Its Legends – Even in Transition**

T20 cricket thrives on youth, energy, and flamboyance. But it also needs experience, wisdom, and calm under pressure. MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma represent that balance.
