Al Ittihad have reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the signing of Moussa Diaby. The winger is set to make the move for a fee worth €60 million, just a year after joining the Clarets in a club record €55 million transfer.

This past season, Diaby made 54 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists. He has four years remaining on his contract with Villa, but it seems like he is set to leave anyway.

Moussa Diaby to join Al Ittihad for €60 million

The 25-year-old has accepted a five-year contract offer from Al Ittihad, and is set to complete the transfer in the coming days. Once the two clubs have finalised the terms of the move, the player will travel to Saudi Arabia to complete his medical and the remaining formalities.

Al Ittihad are reportedly in talks with Manchester City duo Ederson and Kevin De Bruyne as well. While the goalkeeper could be on the move for a fee in the region of €55-60 million, De Bruyne has not accepted an offer from them as of yet.

The Belgian is not considering a transfer away from City at this time, and seems set to stay unlike the Brazilian, who is open to a move this summer. Ederson had previously agreed personal terms with Al Nassr, but the move eventually fell through. Now, it remains to be seen if Ittihad can reach an agreement with the player as well as the Sky Blues for a transfer.

Did Moussa Diaby get injured this season?
