Although Motorola hasn’t officially confirmed the exact release date, a reliable source hints that the latest addition to the G-series lineup will be officially introduced in the country next month. This upcoming device, the Moto G84 5G, is expected to sport a 120Hz refresh rate display, as disclosed by the tipster. It’s anticipated to house 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of internal storage. The Moto G84 5G is positioned as a near relative to the Moto G82 5G from last year and this year’s Moto G73.

Renowned tipster Mukul Sharma recently shared insights about the Moto G84 5G’s launch timeline and several specifications via Twitter. According to Sharma, Motorola plans to unveil the smartphone in India in September. He also mentioned that the phone will likely come in a Viva Magenta color variant with a vegan leather finish.
The tipster further indicated that the Moto G84 5G might feature a 10-bit pOLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. This device is rumored to carry a robust 12GB of RAM and provide ample 256GB of internal storage. Sharma also posted an alleged image of the phone, which aligns with information from a prior leak.
In a leak from the previous week, details surfaced about the Moto G84 5G’s design, including a hole-punch display design and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It was suggested that the phone could be available in black, grey, and red color choices.
The Moto G84 5G is anticipated to succeed both the Moto G82 5G and Moto G73 5G. The former was introduced in India in June of the previous year, starting at a base price of ₹21,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the Moto G73 5G made its debut in March of the current year, launching with a starting price of ₹18,999 for the single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration.
The Moto G82 5G is driven by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, while the Moto G73 5G relies on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC. The Moto G82 5G boasts a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, whereas the Moto G73 5G showcases a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup.
