Mohun Bagan SG have announced the departure of three foreigners for the summer 2024 transfer window, with Joni Kauko, Hector Yuste and Brendan Hamill leaving the club after winning the ISL League title this past season.
The trio played a huge part in solidifying the core of the team as they fought their way till the end, and came incredibly close to making it a domestic double.

Kauko was sidelined for a lengthy period, after sustaining a serious injury towards the end of the last season. However, he returned to the team in the winter transfer window, replacing Hugo Boumous in the line-up in what was a very surprising decision.
However, the Finnish midfielder was back to his best and bossed the midfield upon his return.
Yuste played 21 league games for the Mariners this past season, while Hamill played 13, but both players were important in helping them enjoy a successful season domestically.
Now, it’ll be interesting to see which new defenders join the club given the Mariners are yet to announce new defensive signings for the coming season. On the other hand, they have already reinforced their midfield by signing Apuia to succeed Joni Kauko.
