On the Final of Champions League 2018, the Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah got a shoulder injury during the rough challenge against Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid. It was obvious that he would likely to miss the world cup.

“Now I’m feeling better,” Salah said. “I’m hopeful of being able to play in our first game, but this will depend on how I feel when the day comes around.”

After an extensive treatment at Spain, Salah has recovered quite steadily and now he is even fit to play against Uruguay. Well, as this match is quite important for Egypt at the group stage, you can expect him to be played on that day…

The 25-year-old forward is the key player in the team, who helped the team to reach the group stage in the World Cup. Egypt is in Group A which has Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay as other teams.

Salah has admitted as much, with a now infamous tussle with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos having left him sweating on a role at Egypt’s first outing on a global stage in 28 years.

Speaking to Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi before jetting off to Russia, Salah said:
“I promise you I will do my best to be ready for the World Cup and to achieve the Egyptian dream. I feel much better now and I’ll be ready to play against Uruguay. I will never give up on our dream, I promise to do my best for our people.”

Let’s hope for the best and hope that Salah can fulfill “the Egyptian dream” in the World Cup 2018 held in Russia… The first match is scheduled in Yekaterinburg next Friday against Luis Saurez & Cavani’s Uruguay…
