Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw with West Ham United at the London Stadium, in what was a hammer blow to their title ambitions. The Reds are now out of the Premier League race, but another event made the headlines after the game.
Mohamed Salah was benched for the game against West Ham, and didn’t come on until late. On the touchline, he had an argument with Jurgen Klopp, which had to be broken up by Darwin Nunez. However, Klopp clarified that the matter had been dealt with in the post match press conference.

“We spoke about it in the dressing room, and that is done for me,” Klopp said in the conference, and hoped that the same was the case for Salah. However, the Egyptian, coming through the tunnel said, “It’s gonna be fire if I speak.”
Jurgen Klopp’s farewell has not been going according to plan, in spite of Liverpool’s Carabao Cup win earlier this season. They were knocked out of the FA Cup and were shockingly dumped out of the Europa League by Atalanta, with a 3-1 scoreline on aggregate.
After their 2-0 loss in the Merseyside Derby to Everton, their title hopes were in jeopardy. And now, they are certainly over, as confirmed by Klopp himself. While the row with Mohamed Salah has been clarified as per the manager, it surely doesn’t paint a good picture for his last month at the club.
