Although the transfer window for arrivals in Europe’s big leagues is officially closed, players can still leave. The MLS has completed the signings of some big names over the last few days. The official statements confirm the signing of these players as well.

While Lorenzo Insigne has already been confirmed as a Toronto FC arrival in the summer, three key transfers have been sealed by MLS franchises alongside the Italian.

The former Liverpool man made the move to Lyon in the summer, but things didn’t work out properly in France, as he found first team opportunities hard to come by. As a result, the Switzerland international has made the move to North American outfit Chicago Fire for a club record $7.5 million. The midfielder has signed a contract until 2024 with the MLS franchise.

Douglas Costa to LA Galaxy

As revealed earlier, Douglas Costa has officially completed his move to the MLS from Juventus. The Brazilian will spend an initial loan spell with LA Galaxy, and the transfer will be made permanent in the summer once his contract expires with the Bianconeri.
