On its second Tuesday, the film added roughly **Rs 5 crore nett**. While the trends looked strong heading into the second Friday, the second weekend growth was a touch softer than expected — a common pattern for big theatrical releases as the initial buzz settles.

What makes this run particularly notable is the source material — Mirzapur began life as a hit web series, and its jump to the big screen has been embraced by audiences at a scale rarely seen for OTT-to-theatrical adaptations. The film’s setting draws heavily on the crime and power dynamics of [Uttar Pradesh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uttar_Pradesh), the state that lent the fictional Mirzapur its gritty, real-world texture.
