[Mirzapur](https://www.primevideo.com/detail/0PDOKMV9CRLOMO5EUKNCUJLG4Q): The Movie is quietly rewriting the rulebook on what a theatrical hit can look like. The Ali Fazal-led gangster action drama wrapped its third week at Rs 18.50 crore nett, taking its running total to Rs 216.25 crore in just 21 days — and it’s doing this without a single traditional movie star headlining the cast.

The film did register a steep 65% drop from its second week, collecting Rs 1.25 crore on its third Thursday alone. But that’s simply the natural rhythm of a film entering its final theatrical phase, not a sign of trouble. Based on current trends, Mirzapur is projected to close its entire run around the Rs 225 crore mark — a genuinely impressive number for a film built entirely on the strength of its beloved digital IP rather than star power.

That makes Mirzapur the third biggest hit of 2026 so far, trailing only Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Hanuman Ansh. More importantly, it’s become a significant proof point for the industry at large: successful streaming shows can transition into genuine theatrical blockbusters, offering a fresh playbook at a time when Bollywood’s reliance on aging 90s superstars is fading and no clear new generation of movie stars has fully emerged.

### Mirzapur: Week-by-Week Collections (India Nett)

| Period | Collection |
| --- | --- |
| Week One | Rs 145.00 cr |
| Week Two | Rs 53.75 cr |
| Week Three | Rs 18.50 cr |
| **Total (21 days)** | **Rs 216.25 cr** |

### Why This Matters?

Mirzapur’s success signals a structural shift in how Indian audiences engage with content — proving that a loyal streaming fanbase can be converted into box office numbers, even without a conventional star cast leading the charge.
