The 22-year-old will be making the move to Roma as a free agent, since his contract with Benfica expires at the end of the season. He has rejected a number of offers in favour of linking up with Jose Mourinho.

The Special One is an admirer of the young goalkeeper, and will be getting his man within the upcoming days. A verbal agreement is already in place for the arrival of the youngster. And soon, he will be in Italy, ready to play for Mourinho.

Born in Antwerpen, Mile Svilar represents the Serbian national team, making his debut in 2021. He represented Belgium at the youth levels before eventually changing his nationality. The goalkeeper came through the ranks at the Anderlecht academy before eventually moving to Benfica in 2017.

And now, he is set to join one of the top clubs in the big 5 leagues in Europe to compete for game time with Rui Patricio.
