Milan Skriniar has signed with PSG, after months of speculation surrounding his future. The defender had reached an agreement with the French club this past summer itself. However, Inter Milan did not want to sell the player in hopes of extending his stay.
The player himself revealed the fact that he has chosen to sign for the Parisians, revealing – “I have signed with PSG, I cannot say any more. I’m waiting for an agreement between the clubs,” he told Futbalsfv.sk, and via FCInter1908.it.
Milan Skriniar reveals PSG move right around the corner
The 27-year-old was expected to be offered a new deal by the Nerazzurri. But, he has decided to take up a new challenge and leave Serie A.
Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are in talks to find an agreement before the end of the January transfer window in order to complete the move right away for around €20 million. However, even if they are unable to find a meeting point, he could join for free at the end of the season.
Milan Skriniar has been an important part of Inter’s defence for the last few years. And his departure will be a big blow to the club. They are looking at Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof as the replacement for the Slovakian.
Having a talented defender like Skriniar for the latter half of the season makes PSG very strong contenders to advance in the Champions League and win the Ligue 1 title again. With Present Kimpembe, Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos also in the team, the Parisians have some unbelievable depth in central defence to go out and win trophies.
