Milan earned their first win over rivals Inter last night after losing six consecutive derbies. The Rossoneri picked up a vital 2-1 win to end their losing run against their local rivals, with Matteo Gabbia scoring the decisive goal from a free-kick.
Tijjani Reijnders’ free kick found the defender in the opposition box, and the 89th minute winner sent the fans into a frenzy. The defending Scudetto winners now have a problem on their hands after a stop-start beginning to the new campaign.

Christian Pulisic continued his bright start to the season by scoring the opening goal. The winger picked up the ball after a turnover in midfield and drove at the opposition before slotting the ball past Yann Sommer.
Federico Dimarco was able to level things up shortly after, with the left wing-back finding the back of the net with a left-footed shot 17 minutes later. An end-to-end affair followed, with both sides coming very close to taking the lead thereafter.
However, it wasn’t until very late in the game that Gabbia was finally able to score and give his side three points and bragging rights. Now, it remains to be seen if Paulo Fonseca’s side can build on this momentum and conjure a title challenge this season.
