Zlatan Ibrahimovic is confirmed to be extending his contract with AC Milan for another year. The negotiation has been given the famous Here We Go signal by renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, and it is only a matter of time before the extension is officially confirmed by the club.
Talks have been going on ever since the winter transfer window, and there has been a positive feeling surrounding the contract extension throughout this time. The player has also come out of retirement for the Swedish national team and featured for them in their recent World Cup qualifiers.
Zlatan’s arrival at the club has changed things around drastically, with the club on the verge of a return to the Champions League. The leadership qualities that Zlatan brings to the table is something that cannot be replicated very easily, and that is exactly what Milan needed when they were struggling under Stefano Pioli last season.
And despite being 39 years old, he is one of the highest scorers in Serie A, with 15 goals from 17 games along with 2 assists, averaging a goal contribution per game. Age is just a number when it comes to the Swedish forward, and although he will be turning 40 this October, he is showing no signs on slowing down any time soon.
