Xiaomi brings some cool notebooks to the market every year, one under their budget Redmi category and another with their mid-range and premium Mi Notebook series. So, it has recently teased its upcoming Mi Notebook Pro 15 Ryzen Edition, which is all set to feature AMD’s latest Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors.
Although it is still a concern which chip exactly would Xiaomi go for, considering this laptop will be a premium one, the rumours say it would be the 8 core, 16 threaded AMD Ryzen 7 5800H.
Now you might ask why the beefier Ryzen 5000H APUs are speculated not the more efficient Ryzen 5000U series? Already the RedmiBook Pro 15/S laptops comes with Ryzen 5600H and Ryzen 7 5800H options, so the Zen 3 based Ryzen 7 5800H is the one to be most likely used on the upcoming Mi Notebook Pro 15.
These new Ryzen Edition laptops will sport almost the same specs as we saw with the Intel Tiger Lake-H based Mi Notebook Pro 15 laptops. This means the laptop will sport an OLED display with 3.5K resolution (3,456 x 2,160 pixels) and a modern 16:10 aspect ratio.
Much like the Intel variant, the Mi Notebook Pro 15 will most likely be equipped with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. The laptop will still have a thin and light design while presale begins on May 24 in China, followed by the official launch on June 1.
