Mi 11 Ultra launching in India on 23rd April

Finally after a small hint from Manu a couple of days back about the launch of Mi 11 Ultra as he mentioned in his tweet just after the China launch. In the tweet done by Manu, there he was actually asking if the company should bring the Mi 11 Ultra 5G smartphone in India or not as people are loving it so much. He had mentioned in his tweet that this is a #superphone and not just any smartphone.

Today Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP and MD of Xiaomi India, had revealed the launch date of the #superphone in India, which means the launch date of Mi 11 Ultra. The phone will be launched in an online event of Xiaomi on 23rd April. The #SuperPhone came unexpectedly fast in the Indian market, though the launch date is scheduled for the last week of April still it counts because the announcement seems quite a bit early for such a flagship level device.

In the image shared by Manu, we can see the white colour version of the Mi 11 Ultra with its secondary display on and the Harman Kardon speakers at the top. The main attraction of this smartphone is its secondary display, 120X insane zoom, and Harman-Kardon speakers.

Though the exact pricing has not been revealed or hinted at for the Indian market still we are assuming that the pricing of the smartphone will remain within Rs.60,000 and Rs.80,000 for all its variants.

Specifications:

The Mi 11 Ultra flaunts a 6.81-inch QHD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 3200×1440 pixels. It comes with a high adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz. The biggest talking point of this new smartphone is the presence of a secondary screen at the backside. This screen can display Notifications, time, weather, offers Music control and aids in taking selfies with the rear camera. Also, it helps massively in battery saving as Xiaomi claims that the screen can give 55 hours of battery backup with just 10% remaining battery.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Soc and runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 custom skin out of the box. It draws energy from a 5,000mAh battery cell and is paired with a 67W wired fast-charging support. Also, the device comes with a 67W wireless charging and a 10W reverse charging support.

In terms of optics, the Mi 11 Ultra features a triple camera setup at the back. This includes a 50MP ISOCELL GN2 primary sensor, a 48MP Sony IMX586 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 48MP Sony IMX586 telephoto lens. All the 3 camera sensors including the Tele macro shooter. For selfies and video chats, it offers a 20MP front snapper. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is IP68 certified as well. You also get Harmon Kardon stereo speakers.
