In a bid to offer more options range of prospective buyers, MG Motor India has introduced a new variant of the Gloster SUV named the Storm Edition, with changes made specifically to spruce up its look and give it a sportier character, while others remain the same as the core hardware. The MG Gloster Storm Edition debuts two versions – Desert Storm and Snow Storm, both of which carry a price tag of ₹ 41.04 lakh, ex-showroom.
The All New 2024 MG Gloster Desert
The edition comes with an all-black treatment to elements like the alloy wheels, window surrounds, and B and C pillars, and black and red accentuation on the ORVMs to lend the Kwid a striking visual appeal. Compared to the chrome highlights of the standard model, the Snow Desert Storm variant features red-black elements that endow it with a sportier stance, and presence on the roadway thus increasing the robust and dynamic nature of the SUV.
A new dual-tone interior comprising genuine leather, premium materials, and soft-touch points adds a modern urban appeal to the cabin with ambient lighting in every door and armrest. The MG Gloster Storm Edition is a hi-tech offering, with several top-spec features including a 12.30-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, 8-inch MID instrument cluster, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, automatic parking assist, and a host of comfort features including automatic gear shift with auto park and a 12-way power adjustable driver seat with heating, ventilation and massage functions. By the way, safety is taken care of with ESP, traction control, hill hold control, rear disc brakes, and a whole bunch of ADAS, and connectivity options are all there as well.

Mechanically, the Gloster Storm Edition draws power from either a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine good for 161 PS and 373.5 Nm of torque or a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine pumping out 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The twin-turbo engine offers a 4WD option and features intelligent 4WD with an all-terrain system, offering seven terrain modes and three drive modes for versatile performance.
