Imagine going from top-tier designer to jobless overnight, then starting over among strawberry fields on a Japanese island. That is the setup of **Merry Berry Love**, a Korean-Japanese romantic comedy that is slated to premiere on **October 7**, which is today.

## Merry Berry Love: The Story

Lee Yu Bin (**Ji Chang Wook**) is a Korean spatial designer who achieved great success at home but loses everything overnight. Hoping to turn his life around, he travels to a Japanese island, where he meets Shirahama Karin (**Imada Mio**), a young strawberry farmer who has devoted her life to her crop.

## The Before and After

Newly released stills show how far Yu Bin falls. In one, he is the polished city man with perfect hair and a desk covered in blueprints and office tools. In another, he is unemployed and disheveled, catching short naps. By the end of that journey he sheds his chic persona completely.

## The Mystery Behind the Fall

The stills don’t explain why he lost his career so suddenly, and that unanswered question is part of the draw. Viewers will want to find out what went wrong and how he ends up entangled with Karin. The contrast between a city professional and a farmer devoted to one crop sets up plenty of comedy.
