There are plans in place for the 30-year-old to be introduced to the fans ahead of Corinthians’ Copa Brazil match against Juventude this coming Thursday.

After scoring just 13 goals in 22 starts for Barcelona between 2021 and 2023, the striker scored nine goals in 12 games for Atletico Madrid this past season, battling several injuries throughout the campaign.

Now, it will be interesting to see how the Dutch forward fares in his first profesional spell away from Europe. It will also be a major decision for Ronald Koeman as to whether he will continue to call Delay up for the national team after the shock transfer.

Which strikers has Atletico replaced Depay with?

Alexander Sorloth and Julian Alvarez
